Thinners and accessories
Xylene is recommended for the preparation and cleanup of all spray equipment. When the spray gun is not in use, such as between coats, it should be completely submerged in a container of Xylene. Application equipment must be thoroughly cleaned immediately after use to avoid damage as any remaining Rust Bullet will cure and likely to render the equipment unusable.
Rust Bullet should not normally be thinned because of its carefully balanced chemical composition and thinning may compromise the quality of the cured product. However in some circumstances such as where the product has thickened after openning the tin and thinning is desirable then no more than 5% of xylene should be added as an absolute maximum.
